Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year. I may have only met this group this morning, but I can already tell we are going to have a great year. The students are polite, motivated, and eager to learn.

This week we will be focusing on routines and getting to know each other, and will dig into the curriculum next week.

Students are asked to begin the routine of reading at home for 20 minutes each night. They were also given a “Me” bag today that they are to return to school by Thursday. These are an easy way for students to introduce themselves to their classmates and begin building our classroom community.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Also, please remember to check your child’s planner each night for a snapshot of what they learned that day, along with any possible homework assignments.
